PURPOSE

TO WORSHIP GOD:We come to God to praise Him for His many blessings and to receive forgiveness for our sins. We celebrate and learn God’s word through scripture readings, sermons and song as we participate in fellowship with others. We learn what God has done for us, how much we need Him and what He would have us do and be. See Rom. 12:1.
SPREAD HIS WORD: We carry out the Great Commission of Jesus Christ by using the gifts God blessed us with to spread His word in our community and the world. See Mark 16: 15 and Matt. 28:18-20.
WITNESS FOR CHRIST We tell others of God’s influence through Jesus and the Holy Spirit in our lives; showing them that each of us was made in His image and capable of providing love and forgiveness. See Col. 3:12 and Acts 1:8.
WELCOME ALL We welcome all and seek to teach them of God’s saving grace, His healing power and divine instruction. See Heb. 13:2; Romans 15:2; Matt. 22:39; and Matt. 11: 28.
SERVE THEM: We are instructed to serve others using the gifts God has given us. Service comes in many forms, including positive thoughts, words, and deeds. See 1 Peter 4:10-11 and Matt. 5:16
GROW THE COMMUNITY OF BELIEVERS THROUGH THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT With the Holy Spirit’s guidance, we inspire Christian growth for all whom we touch in our lives. See Acts 9:31; Acts 16:5; and 2Peter 3:18.
SERVE THEM
The purpose of the Northland Lutheran Church Iola Food Pantry ministry is to serve those who are hungry in our local community. As we share our food to meet our neighbor's basic need, we can feel the joy of following our Lord's advice "When you do it to the least of these...".
Northland is continuing to collect items for the Waupaca Pregnancy Information Center. This activity is aligned with our new purpose statement, specifically to serve. A baby basket is at Northland and ready to receive your new or gently used clothing items for sizes preemie through 2T/24 months. Other needed items are baby quilts, afghans, sweaters, and jackets. This group is now accepting maternity clothes, strollers and high chairs. All checks should be made out to Waupaca Pregnancy Information Center. So whether you’re doing summer cleaning and sorting, or stopping by rummage sales, please remember this organization.
Be generous in your donations. Thank You!

SERVE THEM-- WITNESS FOR CHRIST
Northland Congregation,
I was deeply touched by your kindness, concern, and prayers. The quilt is lovely and I shall enjoy its warmth. I've so appreciated my time with Dan. Louise Somers
Dear Ladies of the Church Quilt Ministry,
You girls do a great job making the prayer quilts and I especially thank you for my beautiful prayer square. I have it on my table and feel warm all over when I know the prayers and all the love that went into making it. Thank you. Janet Gunderson
Dear Northland Women of the Word:
My family and I would like to Thank You for helping to make Jameson's baptism day special with all the gifts and especially the prayer blanket. These items are most definitely keepsakes for Jameson. We are lucky to have such thoughtful members in our small congregation. Thank you for all that you do. Sincerely, Jeff and Sarah Heschke and family
We Are LCMC
Many Thanks My name is Jason Lovold and I am part of the graduating class of 2010 from The Master's Institute. As a way of introduction, I am for most a lover of Jesus who has been married for 12 great years to my wife Karen, and a father of two daughters that have blessed me in countless ways.
Three years ago, I embarked on a journey in which the ultimate goal was to bring greater clarity of God's call upon my life for ministry. Through my time at MI, God has been faithful in equipping not only my head and hands, but also equally my heart. I'm graduating with a new understanding in Christ and with a much greater sense of wholeness within myself. As a leader for God's kingdom, these are necessary and important as I humbly walk with others as they too discover the fullness of the Father's heart.
You have played a very significant role in my journey and I want to thank you. Your gift of financial support to MI and your ongoing prayer for the MI board, leadership, and student body is imperative to its mission and direction. With out your financial partnership, I as a father of two wouldn't have been able to attend MI. My family has benefited directly by your financial support, as the cost of MI has directly remained affordable. In fact, through lower tuition costs, scholarships, and money raised through my intern site, I will graduate with NO loans incurred. Praise Jesus.
This freedom allows my family and I greater ability to simply discern God's call for ministry and not have to be concerned with outstanding loans. So again, thank you. Your contributions has made and will continue to make a significant impact. Please continue to pray for the MI board, leadership, and student body..
God is currently calling new students who are preparing to embark on the journey I have just now completed and I know they too will have amazing stories of God's faithfulness to share because of our gracious support.
Sincerely, Jason Lovold, The Master Institute Graduate 2010.
THANK YOU's to Northland Church & Ladies of the Prayer Quilt Ministry.
